Service Schedules

All Services, checks and repairs are listed and a copy supplied to the customer. Service prices vary, depending on type of service required, and, whether the unit being serviced is a caravan with a single axle, twin axle or the habitation area of a campervan or motorhome.

What does a service cover?

Full Annual Inspection and Test Service

Chassis and Running Gear

  • Check coupling head
  • Check tyres and tyre pressures
  • Check operation and grease corner steadies
  • Check and lubricate jockey wheel
  • Check breakaway cable
  • Check handbrake operation
  • Lubricate overrun piston
  • Remove brake hubs, clean, reassemble and adjust
  • Re-torque wheel nuts/studs

Electrical System

  • Check blown air heating system
  • Check road lights, reflectors and awning light
  • Check 12N & 12S plugs
  • Check wiring circuits and fuses
  • Operation of RCD and MCB's
  • Operation of interior lights
  • Test 13amp sockets
  • Test 12V sockets
  • Test 240V operation of fridge
  • Test 240V operation of space heater and water heater

Exterior Bodywork and Interior

  • Blinds and flyscreens
  • Check for floor delamination
  • Cupboard stays, catches and hinges
  • Damp test
  • Door locks and hinges
  • Exterior sealant
  • Exterior lockers, locks and hinges
  • Grab handles for security
  • Interior doors, bed lockers and hinges 
  • Roof lights and their operation
  • Window stays and catches

 Gas Supply and Appliances

  • Check gas hose and replace if necessary
  • Cooking appliances
  • Fridge operation
  • Leak test 
  • Space heater and water heater operation and check

Water System

  • Operation of all taps and shower head
  • Pressure switch set-up and operation
  • System drain plugs
  • Toilet blade and flush operation
  • Water pump operation

Before any work is done on defective parts I will check that you wish to go ahead as this may incur additional cost/charge.

Please make sure before the service starts that the cassette toilet is empty or a £25 emptying fee will be charged, or the toilet accessories will not be serviced.
